AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR DEFREYING THE
EXPENSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR POLICE DATA
PROCESSING SYSTEM. THIS APPROPRIATION WILL BE
ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
ITS DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
WHEREAS, the Administration has contracted with the South
Bend Community School Corporation for Police Data Processing work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated for
The remainder of the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance
Grant commonly referred to as Revenue Sharing. This appropria-
tion will be administered by the Department of Administration
and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,

statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.

Attached for your consideration is an ordinance appropriating $50,000.00
from General Revenue Sharing.
The purpose of this appropriation is to replace a budget deletion in
the 1979 Police Department budget. This amount is part of the overall
contract for $210,000.00 for data services between the City and the
South Bend Community School Corporation.
