AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $51,400.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
STREET DEPARTMENT TRUCK REPAIR, TO BE ADMINIS-
TERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE
BUREAU OF STREETS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Whereas, additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Streets to insure
this department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year
1979.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the sum of $51,400.00 is hereby appropriated for the
Year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General
Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Bureau
of Streets and will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the ful-

The attached ordinance is for the purpose of appropriating $51,400.00
from the General Revenue Sharing Assistance Grant Fund. The monies
will be used for the repair of 26 Street Department trucks. Follow-
ing is a list of repair estimates to bring the fleet up to good
operating standards.
