Vance Chief Deputy Controller December 6, 1978 Members of the Council 4th floor Council Chambers County -City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Members: There will be presented at first reading of the December 11, 1978 Council meeting an ordinance appropriating $30,582.00 from Revenue Sharing for funding of the Code Enforcement Hearing Officer's budget for 1979. During 1978, this budget was funded through anti - recession funds. Since that time, Congress has discontinued those funds. We feel that this program is an important link in the control of substandard structures, and, therefore, request that it be funded through Revenue Sharing. Sincerely, -M(f `% Michael L.
