AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $110,000.00 FROM
THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY KNOWN
AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR OPERATING
THE DISCOVERY HALL PORTION OF CENTURY CENTER
FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1979, TO BE ADMINISTERED
BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DEPART-
MENT OF ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the sum of $110,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as
the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be known as FA
169 and be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance, and
will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
and effect on January 2, 1979, and after its passage by the Common Council,
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements
for appropriation.

Dear Members of the Council:
There will be presented at first reading December 11, 1978 an ordinance
appropriating $110,000.00 from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for the 1979
operating budget of Discovery Hall.
As in the 1978 operating budget, we are requesting a total of $110,000.00.
We have maintained the same total budget through close watch of operations
and careful spending.
