AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000.00 FROM
THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY KNOWN
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE OPER-
ATION OF THE YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU, TO BE
ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF
ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Additional funds are needed by the Department of Administration
and Finance to ensure that the Youth Services Bureau can properly perform its
functions during the year 1979.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the sum of $60,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year of 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly known
as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered
through the Department of Administration & Finance, and will be distributed
as set forth below:

There will be presented at first reading of the December 11, 1978 Council
meeting an ordinance appropriating $60,000.00 from the Revenue Sharing Fund
for salaries, fringes and office rent for a portion of the Youth Service
Bureau personnel during 1979.
As you know, the Youth Service Bureau is also funded through State and Federal
grants to complete its operations.
