AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $16,350.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC
WORKS PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Additional funds are needed by the Department of Public
Works to administer certain activities of the Department, and
to ensure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $16,350.00 is hereby appropriated
from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the
General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to
be administered by the Department of Public Works and will be
distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval
by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements
for emergency appropriations.

RE: Revenue Sharing Request
Morris Civic Auditorium
Dear Councilmen:
Please find attached an appropriation requesting $16,350 from the
General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation will allow the
City to pursue a variety of miscellaneous repair items needed at
the Morris Civic Auditorium.

More specifically, we will be attempting to repair damaged ceilings
and walls at the rear of the theater and missing and damaged ornamen-
tal plastering; the repair of miscellaneous house and exit lighting
necessary to meet the requirements of our insurance carrier; to
effect the painting of the areas which will be repaired and remodeled,
and to effect the replacement of certain portions of the carpeting
located in the lobby and aisle ways.
