2025 NSE Demolitions – Two Commercial Properties
DATE: 01/05/2026
On December 16, 2025, the Board of Public Works awarded a quote to Green Demolition in the amount of $79,800 for the subject project, covering demolition of two (2) small commercial buildings under Indiana’s Unsafe Building law.
Indiana’s Unsafe Building Law requires that the City provide the affected property owners with at least 10 days' notice prior to the quotes being read aloud at a public meeting. This did not occur for these two properties. As such, the demolition contract may not proceed, and the quote award should be rescinded.
The affected property owners will be notified that a new quote opening will take place at the
January 27th Board meeting.
