Dear Mr. Parent:
The Department of Public Parks
approve the enclosed ordinance
from general revenue sharing to
PHONE: (219) 284 -9401
July 3, 1979
is requesting the Common Council to
for the appropriation of $50,000.00
account #722.0, Motor Equipment.
At last years budget hearing, with the Mayor, our motor equipment
account request was reduced by $66,500.00, however, the Mayor agreed
to the use of Revenue Sharing Funds to restore $50,000.00 back into
the motor equipment account.
Equipment to be purchased with the revenue sharing funds are: Eight
various sizes of trucks, which are listed in the 1979 Park Department
budget; one car to replace a 1973 Ford for the Recreation Department;
cushman truckster; walking greensmowers; 60" riding power rotary mower;
and a 48" riding power rotary mower.
The Park Department feels that the funds to purchase the above listed
equipment is definitely needed for the operation of the Park Department
and respectively requests the council approval of the enclosed ordinance.
Very truly yours,
DEPTMENT, OF P L C PARKS
