PURPOSE OF REQUEST:
Staff is requesting funds to cover the Marshall Park Tennis and Sidewalk Project.
The request is for $200,000.00 from the South Side TIF to cover construction fees. The request will be a
supplement to the existing funds of $315,000.00 for this project.
SPECIFICS:
The SBCSC has preliminarily agreed, pending approval, by the School Board of Trustees, to contribute $125,000
towards the project. This covers the cost of sidewalk and curb adjacent to assumed school property.
Regarding property ownership, the city is in the process of properly recording the lots. Within the project, all
of Springbrook Dr and approximately 340 ft of Byron Dr. are adjacent to property that has been managed and
maintained as a City Park and the city is in the process of correcting this. This is based on a plat that was
created but seems to have never been recorded.
