AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $33,000.00 TO ACCOUNT 260.0
OTHER CONTRACTUALS WITHIN THE CEMETERY TRUST FUND OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
WHEREAS, budgetary restrictions have for years prevented
the City from making needed repairs at the City Cemetery; and,
WHEREAS, the City has a sufficient balance in the Cemetery
Trust Fund which may be expended for these type improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:

SECTION I. The sum of $33,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1979, to account 260.0 Other Contractuals
within the Cemetery Trust Fund of the City of South Bend,
Indiana for the erection.of a new fence at the City Cemetery.

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements for emergency appropriations.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached ordinance is for the purpose of appropriating $33,000.00
to Account 260.0, other contractuals, within the Cemetery Trust Fund.
The monies will be used to make necessary repairs at the City Ceme-
tery.
The Cemetery fence, which is the original one erected in the 1800's,
is in very poor condition and needs to be replaced. I hope you will
give this ordinance a favorable recommendation.
