The Contractor covenants and agrees to make the following improvement, as fully set out in the Request for Quotations, Standard Specifications, Special Provisions, Plans, and Bid Proposals, all of which are set forth as a part of this Contract, for: PROJECT NO. 119-031E DESCRIPTION: DREWRY’S BREWERY CLEANUP, PHASE III – REMAINING FOUNDATIONS COMPLETION DATE: SEE SPECIFICATIONS AMOUNT: $419,235 FUNDING: PO-0044160 The unit prices for this improvement were those prices as received and accepted by the Board on the 16th Day of December 2025. The Contractor further agrees to notify the assigned Engineer when this improvement is completed. This notification shall be in the form of a Project Completion Affidavit, signed by the Contractor. Upon final acceptance of the improvement by the Engineer, the Contractor’s final estimate will be presented to the Board for final Payment with one (1) copy of the Project Completion Affidavit and one (1) copy of a Waiver of Lien. Each of the Parties, by signing below, represents and warrants to the other Party that he/she/it has the authority to bind the named person or entity to this Agreement. The scope of work is demolition and removal of the remaining building foundations at the former Drewry’s Brewery parcel. The smokestack will remain in place. Four bids were received: Contractor: TOTAL: Green Demolition $409,800 Ritschard Bros. $419,235 Indiana Earth $434,300 HRP Construction $749,000 Upon review of the bids, the low bid from Green Demolition must be rejected as non-responsive. Two addenda were issued for the project – Green Demolition neglected to acknowledge both addenda. The second low bid from Ritschard Brothers is complete and responsive. They met both the MWBE goals, are prequalified as a Responsible Bidder with the City, and acknowledged both addenda. I recommend award of the bid for Drewry’s Brewery Cleanup, Phase III to Ritschard Brothers, in the amount of $419,235. Funding is available through PR-00044160.
