AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $27,500 FROM
ACCOUNT 324 (OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR) INTO
ACCOUNT 252 (EQUIPMENT REPAIR CONTRACTUAL)
WITHIN THE BUDGET OF THE BUREAU OF VEHICLE
MAINTENANCE, CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Many of the Street Department trucks are in need of engine
transmission, and body repair, which is beyond the capability of
our facility. In order to handle the work it is necessary to
transfer existing monies from an account where a surplus exists
to an account where money is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the sum of $27,500 be transferred between the
following account:
REDUCE THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNT
ACCT. NO. DESCRIPTION AMOUNT
324 Other Garage and Motor $27,500
INCREASE THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNT
ACCT. NO. DESCRIPTION AMOUNT
252 Equipment Repair Contractual $27,500
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and its approval
by the Mayor.

SUBJECT: ORDINANCE FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS

The Bureau of Streets is presenting an Ordinance to the Common Council
for the transfer of funds within its budget.
The Ordinance would transfer $27,500 from Account 324 (Other Garage
and Motor) into Account 252 (Equipment Repair Contractual) within the budget.
The monies would be used for the repair of trucks.
