ORDINANCE NO. (C,5 7 7 -7q AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $14,735.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOY- MENT AND TRAINING. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Department of Employment and Train- ing to administer the 1979 Summer Environmental Clean -Up Program. It is to provide support services in the areas of Equipment Repair, Truck Leas- ing, Gasoline, Repair Parts, and Program Equipment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $14,735.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Depart- ment of Employment and Training and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 177 SECTION II. As you may recall, the 1978 request was about $18,000.00. We, of course, have asked for what we feel are the basic essentials to run the program.
