AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $100,000.00 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO
PROJECT-CS-513, CLEVELAND ROAD TRUNK SEWER, WITH-
IN THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic deivan.ds, to pro-
vide the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, and to provide
Positive control of sanitary flows, certain improvements have been
proposed for the Cleveland Road Trunk Sewer.
Funds are now needed to pay the cost of land acquisition,
engineering, and the,cost of the construction of these improvements.
These funds are available from the Cumulative Sewer Building and
Sinking Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart out of Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking
Fund for the project in the amount set forth below:

SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect

RE: Cleveland Road Sanitary Sewer
Dear Councilmen:
Attached you will find an ordinance requesting the appropriation
of $275,690 from the Cumulative Sewer Fund. The purpose of this
request is to supplement the original appropriation of $603,800,
thus establishing sufficient.funds to proceed with the project.
Bids were received by the Board of Public Works on June 4, 1979,
and the apparent low bidder is Haskins, Incorporated at $822,490.
Your favorable action is requested.
