PURPOSE OF REQUEST: $50,000 matching funds to support property purchase
SPECIFICS: The South Bend Fraternal Order of Police has formed a nonprofit, FOP #36 Santa’s Elficers, which runs
programming to provide free toys, clothing, and other goods to hundreds of children during the Christmas
season each year. The program has grown and needs dedicated storage space, and the group has fundraised to
purchase a building for $300,000 at 707 S. Scott Street. Approval would provide $50,000 in matching funds to
assist with this purchase.
