SUBJECT: Budget Request – SBCC Dino Traffic Impact Study

* Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, then the
authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect.
PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Budget request of $30,000 for additional analysis requested by the City and INDOT
related to the South Bend Chocolate Dinosaur Museum Traffic Impact Study.
SPECIFICS: Signal warrant analysis for US 20 and Olive determined that a signal is warranted. INDOT does not
want a signal at the intersection and the additional analysis they requested is more extensive than initially
anticipated. The City has also requested additional analysis to further support the need for a signal at the
intersection and evaluate measures to mitigate potential impacts to the interchange. This budget request will
cover that additional analysis.
