As has been the case in past years, the City's resurfacing program will be completed by both City forces and by private contractors. The 1979 program will yield a total of approximately 20 miles of roads resurfaced, 14 of which will have been completed by City crews. Your support of this ordinance will allow us to complete these maintenance operations, thus re- cording 1979 as the most aggressive year in the history of the City with respect to street resurfacing. Your support of this ordinance is requested. Very truly yours, C atrick M. McMahon, P.E.
