Hunt, Director Community Development SUBJECT: 1976 CDBG Supplemental Appropriation (Redevelopment) DATE . November 13, 1979 The Division of Community Development is presenting for your consideration an appropriation bill totalling $1,499.00 to be used by the Department of Redevelopment to defray administrative costs. In the 1977 CDBG Plan, $105,000.00 was allocated for Redevelopment's administrative costs. However, in an audit of our second program year, amounts totalling $2,114.88 have been questioned because of costs incurred prior to Department of Housing & Urban Development's approval. Due to the availability of funds in our first program year, only $1,499.00 is necessitated. By granting the above requested appropriation, additional funds may be available to help defray questioned costs, thus compliance per our response to auditor's finding will have been satisified. Further- more, please be advised that this appropriation will merely serve to comply with a technical finding and should not be construed as additional expenses to be incurred by the Redevelopment Administration. Your favorable consideration of this bill is requested. Should you have any questions on this matter, please contact me or Cande Marin, Fiscal Officer, of my staff.
