ORDINANCE NO. ® -� AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7,750.00 FROM THE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION AND DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND ECONOMIC DEVELOP- MENT. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: The City of South Bend is committed to equal employment op- portunity. In attempting to achieve this goal a local Human Rights Commission has been established. This ordinance will enable the City to resolve charges of discrimination referred to the local Human Rights Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $7,750.00 is hereby appropriated for the fiscal year starting October 1, 1979, from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Fund. The appropriation shall be used for the expenses of the Human Rights Commission incurred under the Federal Grant awarded them by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
