MIcou BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AGENDA ITEM REVIEW REQUEST FORM TO: Board of Public Works FROM: Leslie Biek, P.E., Assistant City Engineer SUBJECT: Amendement #1: 123-078 Miami and Lincolnway E Improvements DATE: August 12, 2025 Attached is Amendment #1 for the Miami and Lincolnway E Intersection Improvements project with A&Z Engineering. The amendment is for the preparation and recording of the LCRS for r/w services. After researching Title Encumbrance Reports, INDOT/County Records A&Z determined that a Location Control Route Survey (LCRS) was needed for the RW Engineering and RW Acquisitions required on this project The project is expected to be constructed in 2027. Improvements will include intersection improvements that will reduce the pedestrian crossing distance at Miami while still optimizing vehicles moving through the intersection. We are working with INDOT on the suggested improvements to make sure they are in agreement. The funding for this amendment is to be paid from River West TIF. It is requested the Board of Public Works approve the amendment #1 with A&Z Engineering for the LWE and Miami Intersection Improvements project for an increase of $10,920 to the contract bringing the new contract amount to $159,440. If authorized in writing by Owner, Engineer shall perform or furnish the following Additional Services: i) Prepare and Record Location Control Route Survey to supplement right-of-way engineering based on right-of-way research and Title & Encumbrance Reports.
