Committee Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan called to order the Health and Public Safety Committee
meeting at 4: 15 p.m.
Organizational Meeting
Committee Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan stated that the Information and Technology Committee
oversees the various activities of the City's Department of Innovation , which includes the
divisions of Information Technology and 311. Such oversight ensures South Bend remains
competitive and ahead of the curve regarding new developments.The Information and Technology
Committee reviews and proposes upgrades to computer systems and developing access to
Geographic Information System (GIS) data and related technologies. Committee Chair Tomas
Morgan distributed the 2024 Information and Technology Annual Report to committee members.
With no further business , Committee Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan adjourned the Information and
Technology Committee meeting at 4:46 p.m .
