AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $130,000,00 FROM
THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, MORE
COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING
TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS, FOR FUNDS DONATED TO
THE POTOWATOMI Z00., BY THE MUESSEL - CLARKE TRUSTS,
TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
. WHEREAS, the City has received a donation for the
construction of an educational building at the Potowatomi Zoo
from the Muessel and Clarke Trusts, and the Council, by resolution
X720 -79, agreed to provide matching funds in the amount of
130,000.00 from 1980 Revenue Sharing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council:
SECTION I. That the sum of $130,000.00 is hereby
appropriated and set aside within the Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund for the calendar year 1980, Such appropriation will be
administered as set forth below:

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in effect
January 2, 1980 after its passage by the Common Council,
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements for emergency appropriations.
