ORDINANCE NO. 6726 -80
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,200.00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO
AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR DOG ENFORCEMENT
PERSONNEL, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS MAYOR'S ACTION CENTER.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Additional funds are needed by the Mayor's Action Center
to administer certain dog programs with.regard to the public
health and safety. These funds are, therefore, appropriated
to insure the Department's ability to property perform these
functions during the year of 1980.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, as follows:
SECTION I. That the sum of $3,200.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1980 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly
known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. _This appropriation is
to be administered.by the Mayor's Action Center and will be dis-
tributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect January 2, 1980 after its passage by the Common Council,
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory
requirements for emergency funding.
