ORDINANCE NO. t0 71,9 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL OPERATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1979, FROM THE POLICE PENSION FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: WHEREAS, unforeseen circumstances have made it necessary to appropriate more monies than were originally appropriated in the 1979 Operating Budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION I. That for the calendar year 1979, the Council does hereby approve an additional appropriation in the amount of $30,000. Said appropriation will be administered through the Department of Administration and Finance as set forth below: 532.0 Pensions, Current Year $ 17,500.00 534.0 Death Benefits 3,800.00 633.0 PERF, City Share 8,700.00 SECTION II, This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements pertaining to emergency appropriations.
