AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA,APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL
AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2025 OF$2,512,780 FROM THE
GENERAL FUND (#101), $520,000 FROM THE PARKS AND RECREATION FUND (#201),
$65,000, FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND (#202), $37,500 FROM THE
GIFT, DONATION, BEQUEST FUND (#217), $2,945,000 FROM THE LOCAL INCOME
TAX—ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND (#408), $650,000 FROM THE WATER
WORKS OPERATIONS FUND (#620), $2,407,550 FROM THE WATER WORKS CAPITAL
FUND (#622), $5,000,000 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS CAPITAL FUND (#642).
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
By Ordinance No. 11150-24 on October 7, 2024, the Common Council adopted the City's
2025 operating and capital budgets, which included expenditures for various City operations. It is
now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for
the City to affect the provision of services to its residents, which were not anticipated at the time the
City budget was adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:
Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2025 and set apart
within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows:

Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and approval of the Mayor.
