ORDINANCE NO G 7 V9-Y40
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $9,087.00 OF
TITLE XX GRANT MONIES FROM THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND RUNAWAY SHELTER FUND FOR
VARIOUS ACTIVITIES DURING THE PERIOD
JANUARY 1, 1980 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1980.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In that additional funding is needed for the
operation of the Runaway Shelter, and in that the City has
obtained a State of Indiana Title XX Grant to fund this
activity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $9,087.00 is hereby appropriated
from the Runaway Shelter Fund. This appropriation is to be
administered by the Youth Service Bureau as set forth below:

The Youth Service Bureau is asking the Conrmlon Council to appropriate $9,086.58
in Title XX funds for the Runaway Shelter program. This contract with the Indiana
Office of Social Services, Title XX was recently approved by the State after some
delay. No matching funds are being requested.
These funds will provide for the salary and social security of a part -time
family therapist. In addition funds are appropriated for telephone and printing
costs. The contractual line item will be used to purchase supervision in family
therapy.
