AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,000.00
FROM THE ETHNIC FESTIVAL FUND OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE COSTS OF THE
ETHNIC FESTIVAL TO BE ADMINISTERED BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND
FINANCE.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Funds are needed to defray costs for the Ethnic Festi-
val due to the relocation of the Festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $3,000.00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1980, from the Ethnic Festival Fund of the City of
South Bend, Indiana. This appropriation is to be administered
by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be
distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the
Mayor, and fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency

Dear Members of the Council:

The Controller's office is requesting the Common Council
to approve the appropriation of $3,000.00 from the Ethnic
Festival fund to complete the financial requirements of
the 1980 Ethnic Festival.
The Council has previously allotted $14,000.00 from
Revenue Sharing for the same function. The additional
funds are needed because of the additional electrical
work needed due to relocating the Festival. This money
is presently available in the Ethnic Festival fund.

information is needed.
