In consideration of one 0-00) dollar and. other valuable considerations,
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned grants to the City
of South Bend, Indiana, or its successors, the right to lay, maintain, operate,
alter, repair and remove a sei,rer, together vdth all manholes, structures, pump-
ing stations and a_purtenances connected therevsd.th, through and over and under
the follovring described real estate, to-vrit:
Beginning at a point in the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4)
of Section Twenty-three (23), Tovmship Thirty-seven north
(T• 37-N), Range two East (R. 2-E) where the North right-
of-way line of Chippewa Ave. intersects the 7r`iest right-
of-way line of the Pennsylvania 1ailroad; thence in a
northeasterly direction along said. 1iest` right-of-:�:ay line
of the Pennsylvania Railroad a distance of three hundred
sixty (360) feet; thence in a northwesterly direction at
right any es to said. Pennsylvania Railroad right-of-i-ray
line a distance of twenty (20) feet; thence in a south-
westerly direction parallel to and twenty (20) feet from
said ?ennsylvani a. Railroad right-of-way line a distance of
three hundred seventy -tyro (372) feet more or less to the
said North right-of-vray line of Chippewa Ave . ; -thence ;past
along said right-of-Y.ay line of Chippewa Ave. a distance
of twenty-three (23) feet .more or less to the Ulace of be-
ginning.
The undersigned further grants to the City of South Bend, Indiana,
the right to enter upon said p-rerfises at any time with all necessary men and
equipment for the purpose of laying, maintaining, operating, repairing, re-
constructing or removing; said sewer or any structures, manholes or appurtenances
connected therewith.
it is provided, ho�rever, that any damage done by the City of Jouth Bend
in connection vri_th the exercise of any of the -rights herein granted and upon
the real estate described above shall be repaired by the said City tidthout
any cost whatsoever to the grantor herein.
It is further provided that the City of 0outh Bend, Indiana, shall
save harmless tho graritor hcrezn, YLis hczrs., adnL:Ln:Lstra-bors, successors or
assigns irofa any damage or injury wh?ich may result to any third person as
a result of the exercise by the said City of any of the ruts herein granted.

The word "his" and the word "grantor" as used herein shall include
both the singular and the plural, both male and female, both individual
and corporation, as shall appear from the signatures subscribed and the
form of any verb shall be changed to Conform theretirith.
