GAMMON i ORDINANCE N0. t.q 1 9 - $1 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $19,928.04 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO THE GENERAL IMPROVEMENT FUND. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Certain Barrett Law Sewer Projects have been constructed in accord- ance with the bids and resolutions submitted to, and approved by the Board of Public Works. The City of South Bend has been assessed the sum of $19,928.04 for part of the Hawbaker Street Sanitary Sewer and funds are needed for payment of this assessment. The Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund has been established and can legally incur this cost. Leszczynski Director, Public Works Division of (219) 284 -9251 Engineering October 6, 1981 Members of the Common Council 4th Floor Council Chambers County -City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Council Members: The attached Ordinance appropriates the sum of $19,928.04 for the City's share of part of the Hawbaker Sanitary Sewer Project being constructed under the Barrett Law Project. This cost is for the sewers constructed on Hawbaker Street. The total cost of the project is $39,991.38. The City's share of the total cost was $19,995.69, however, the City incurred legal advertisement costs on behalf of the project in the amount of $67.65, which was credited against the City's share, leaving a net assessment to be paid of $19,928.04. The balance in the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund after approval of this proposed ordinance is $1,536,221.40. We ask that you give favorable consideration to this Ordinance.
