Who South Bend Police Department How •Uses integrated cameras and other public safety technologies to provide a more real-time understanding of incidents •30-day photo retention on cloud server •Limited users with an administrator for account reviews Fusus/Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) City of South Bend Indiana City of South Bend Indiana Snapshot of RTCC Case Assists City of South Bend Indiana Situation: SBFD Battalion Chief's vehicle was stolen from an active fire scene. Cameras helped: Locate the Battalion Chief’s vehicle, using both Flock cameras & integrated intersection cameras. This info was shared with Patrol, who located the vehicle with the suspect still inside. The suspect inside the stolen vehicle was also found to be the one who set the fire. Situation: ShotSpotter detected rounds being fired. Cameras helped: RTCC analysts review the area while officers were responding and locate two individuals matching the description running northbound. Due to this information officers were able to saturate the area and locate one of the involved parties. Cameras helped: Identify the suspects license plate using both integrated and Flock cameras. The suspect vehicle was located by the detective and after speaking with the suspect they supplied a full confession. Suspect Provided Confession Situation: Car break-in in Downtown. Cameras helped: Locate the suspect, track them as they left the scene and captured them emptying the purse stolen from the vehicle.
