ORDINANCE NO. _(,p '� Q t - RD AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $22,000.00 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS, ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL PARK FUND. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Certain unforeseen conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing budget of the Department of Public Parks, so that it is now necessary to transfer money from various accounts where a surplus exists to various accounts where additional money is needed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section I. That the sum of $22,000.00 be transferred between various accounts as set forth below: Reduce the Following Accounts Account No. Description Amount 620.0 Social Security $ 5,500.00 630.0 PERF Retirement 16,500.00 Total 600 Accounts $ 22,000.00 Total Reductions $ 22,000.00 Increase the Following Accounts Account No. Description Amount 222.0 Gas $ 4,000.00 Total 200 Accounts $ 4,000.00 321.0 Gasoline $ 18,000.00 Total 300 Accounts $ 18,000.00 Total Increases $ 22,000.00 Section II. Mc Gann, President South Bend Common Council County -City Building 227 West Jefferson Boulevard South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Mr. Mc Gann: The Department of Public Parks is requesting the Common Council to approve the enclosed ordinance transferring $5,500.00 from account number 620.0, Social Security and $16,500.00 from account number 630.0, Retirement to account number 220.0, Gas (heating) $4,000.00 and to account number 321.0, Gasoline $18,000.00. There is a surplus in the Social Security and Retirement Accounts due to the reduction in full time park employees and overbudgeting in the two accounts. The shortage in the gas and gasoline accounts is due to inflated costs for gas and gasoline and underbudgeting in the two fuel accounts. Account number 220.0, Gas has a balance of $7,600.00 and account number 321.0, Gasoline has a balance of $5,500.00 for the balance of 1980.
