AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,181.72 FROM
THE ZOO ENDOWMENT FUND, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES WILDLIFE BUILDING
AT POTAWATOMI PARK ZOO TO BE ADMINISTERED BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PARKS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Parks would like to proceed with
the construction of the Educational Services Wildlife Building as outlined in
Potawatomi Park Zoo master plan. Funds are now needed for the required con-
struction costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
Section I. The sum of $3,181.72 is hereby appropriated from the Zoo En-
dowment Fund for the construction of the Educational Services Wildlife Building.
This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public Parks as
set forth below:

Dear Mr. Mc Gann:
The Department of Public Parks is requesting the Common Council to
give favorable action on an ordinance appropriating $3,181.72 from
interest earned on Certificates of Deposit from the funds received
from the Stanley and Flora Clark Trust Funds.
Since fund contributed by the Stanley and Flora Clark Trust Funds
were not immediately needed for construction, said idle funds were
invested in certificates of deposit thus earning $3,181.72 in in-
terest. Because of change orders the money earned by the investment
is now needed to complete the education building project.
Approval of this ordinance will be appreciated.
