Home My WebLink About01-04-93 Council Organizational Meeting MinutesORGANIZATIONAL MEETING JANUARY 4. 1993 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, January 4, 1993, at 12:00 noon. The meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Luecke, Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, Duda, Coleman and Ladewski Absent: None Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand, Council Attorney, conducted the election. Council Member Coleman made a motion to nominate Council Member Luecke for president, seconded by Council Member Ladewski. Council Member Kelly made a motion to close nomination, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. As there were no further nominations, Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand announced that Council Member Luecke was elected president by acclamation. Council Member Kelly made a motion to nominate Council Member Ladewski for vice president, seconded by Council Member Duda. Council Member Luecke made a motion to close nomination, seconded by Council Member Coleman. As there were no further nominations, Kathleen Cekanski- Farrand announced that Council Member Ladewski was elected vice president by acclamation. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to nominate Council Member Zakrzewski for Chairperson of the Whole, , seconded by Council Member Coleman. Council Member Coleman made a motion to close nomination, seconded by Council Member Luecke. As there were no further nominations, Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand announced that Council Member Zakrzewski was elected Chairperson of the Whole by acclamation. NEW BUSINESS Council President Luecke announced the reappointment of Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand as Council Attorney for 1993. There being no further business to come before the Council unfinished or new, Council Member Coleman made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Ladewski.
