HomeMy WebLinkAboutLevying Taxes & Fixing the Rate of Taxation Year Ending December 31, 1982ORDINANCE NO. 6QSt�- $' AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING REVENUE TO MEET THE NECESSARY EXPENSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1982. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, THAT: There shall be levied upon each One Hundred Dollars of Assessed Valuation of Taxable Property of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the fiscal year 1981 to be collected in the year 1982, the following: For CORPORATION GENERAL FUND, the sum of 3.7448 dollars on each on hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For PARK MAINTENANCE FUND, the sum of 0.6809 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For STREET DEPARTMENT FUND, the sum of 0.1015 dollars on each on hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION FUND, the sum of 0.0129 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND, the sum of 0.0624 dollar on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For POLICEMEN'S PENSION FUND, the sum of 0.0168 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For ART ASSOCIATION FUND, the sum of 0.0075 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For CUMULATIVE SEWER FUND, the sum of 0.1673 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For GENERAL SINKING BOND FUND, the sum of 0.3736 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For PARK DISTRICT BOND FUND, the sum of 0.0913 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For URBAN REDEVELOPMENT FUND, the sum of 0.0644 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. For CENTURY CENTER BOARD OF MANAGERS OPERATIONS FUND, the sum of 0.0892 dollars on each one hundred dollars of Taxable Property. This bill is closely tied to the bill appropriating monies in order to fund those 1982 budgets that you will be con- sidering at the same time. Over the next few weeks this office and all department heads will be available for detailed discussions on each of these budgets. The budgets as proposed reflect our efforts to con- tinue essential operations within the City of South Bend in a frugal, but realistic, manner. Your favorable consideration is requested.
