AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AWARD OF BIDS FOR CHEMICALS,
FOR THE SOUTH BEND WATER WORKS AND WASTEWATER TREAT-
MENT PLANT, TO K.A. STEEL CHEMICALS, CONSERVATION
CHEMICAL COMPANY, HERCULES, INC., FISHER -CALO CHEMICAL
COMPANY, BONDED CHEMICAL COMPANY AND WATCON, INC.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
That bids being duly accepted and opened, approval of bids from
K.A. Steel Chemicals, Conservation Chemical Company, Hercules, Inc.,
Fisher -Calo Chemical Company, Bonded Chemical Company and Watcon, Inc.,
is requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That bids from the chemical companies listed below to
supply the South Bend Water Works and Wastewater Treatment Plant with
the following listing of chemicals is hereby approved.

There will appear at first reading of the June 28, 1982
Council Meeting an ordinance approving contracts with the
Boards of Water and Wastewater Commissioners for the supplying
of chemicals used in the treatment of water and sewage. The
contracts are the result of public bids being taken by the
respective Boards, and awards based on low bid in each case.
As in the past, the contract period will run from June 1 until
May 31 of the following year.
