AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000.00
FROM THE PARKING GARAGES FUND TO THE
260.0 ACCOUNT OF THE PARKING GARAGES
BUDGET WITHIN THE PARKING GARAGES
FUND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to restore and rehabilitate the functional and
structural integrity of the parking structures owned by the City of
South Bend certain improvements have been proposed.
Funds are now needed for the engineering costs associated
with these improvements. These funds are available from the Parking
Garages Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered set apart out of the Parking Garages Fund for the improve-
ments in the amount set forth below:

SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of $25,000.00
from the Parking Garages Fund to pay for consulting services associated
with the rehabilitation of the South Bend Parking Garages.
The City's parking structures are in poor condition and require our
immediate attention. The consulting services are necessary to evaluate
the existing condition of the garages and to determine the scope of the
work to be done.
Your favorable consideration is requested on this proposed ordinance. If
you should have any questions regarding this matter please contact me at
your earliest convenience.
