AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000.00 FROM
THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT
R &S 7905, LINCOLNWAY EAST AND TWYCKENHAM
DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, WITHIN THE
LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to bring Lincolnway East and Twyckenham Drive up to
the standards necessary to meet existing traffic needs, certain improve-
ments have been proposed.
Additional funds are now needed for the cost of construction
of these improvements. These funds are available from the Local Road
and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and ordered to be set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for
the project in the amount set forth below:

Twyckenham Drive
Total Appropriation $ 60,000.00
SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of $60,000.00
from the Local Road and Street fund to be used for the Lincolnway East
and Twyckenham Drive Intersection Project. The balance in this fund
after this proposed appropriation is $199,700.67.
The above referenced project entails the widening, channelization and
signalization of the Twyckenham and Jefferson intersection. These
improvements are to be done in conjunction with the County's projects.
The previous appropriation for this project was for the engineering
costs associated with these improvements. It is now necessary to appro-
priate funds for the construction costs.
Your favorable consideration is requested on this proposed ordinance. If
you should have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at
