Dear Council Members:

for the use of those funds.

for your consideration at first
Council Meeting an ordinance
approving an engineering contract
As you are aware, the shutting down of the Oliver Well
Field potentially could cause problems in meeting water supply
demands during the peak usage periods which occur during the
summer months. To insure that this potential problem is mini-
mized or eliminated, it is essential that alternative supply
points are developed within the present system as soon as
possible.
On my recommendation the Board of Water Commissioners has
signed a contract, subject to funding, with Lawson - Fisher
Associates for their services in evaluating alternative well
expansion sites and for the design of an additional well field
whose location has yet to be determined. It is essential that
this ordinance be handled in a timely manner in view of the
possible problem.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. If I may
provide additional information, please feel free to contact my
office.
Sincerely,
%lae, u,.A._._
