G 9 7 /- Pe� AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL OPERATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,469.00 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1980, FROM THE SOLID WASTE FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THROUGH THE BUREAU OF SOLID WASTE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: WHEREAS, unforeseen circumstances have made it necessary to appropriate more monies than were originally appropriated in the 1980 operating budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: Section I: That for the calendar year 1980 the Council does hereby approve an additional appropriation in the amount of $44,469.00. Said approp- riation will be administered through the Bureau of Solid Waste as follows: 110.0 Salaries and Wages, 260.0 Other Contractuals 262.5 Landfill 263.0 Household, Cleaning, 620.0 Social Security 640.0 Group Insurance Regular $ 5,137.00 132.00 35,432.00 Laundry 320.00 2,551.00 897.00 44,469.00 Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements pertaining to emergency appropriations. PARENT, Mayor COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. 46601 November 19, 1980 Members of the Common Council 4th Floor County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Members of the Council: 219/264 -9742 This bill would appropriate an additional $44,469.00 from the Solid Waste Fund to meet unforeseen 1980 operating expenses. This will leave a balance of $113,255.69 in this fund. The Bureau of Solid Waste needs additional funds in their salaries accounts to cover a deficit which will exist due to a secretary being transferred to the payroll from the Water Works payroll. In addition, their contractual accounts need to be increased due to a forty cent (40(�) per yard in- crease in landfill not budgeted in 1980.
