AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $26,180.00 FROM
THE YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU FUND FOR OPERATING
FUNDS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE YOUTH SERVICE
BUREAU OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, IN.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Whereas funds are provided to the Youth Service Bureau for
operating costs covering the period of July, 1981 thru June, 1982 by
Title XX and State of Indiana. These funds are needed in the following
accounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The sum of $26,180.00 is hereby appropriated from
the Youth Service ureau Fund as set forth below:

Re: Title XX and State of Indiana Fund Appropriation

The Youth Service Bureau receives funds on a July to June fiscal cycle from
the State of Indiana and from the Indiana Office of Social Services, Title XX.
These funds are used to support the Youth Service Bureau secretarial position
and the operating expenses of the Youth Service Bureau. Due to cuts in both
State funding and Title XX, the Youth Service Bureau will receive $11,842
from the State and $14,338 from Title XX.
I believe the line items are self — explanatory. Contractual services include
the cost of taking thirty three youth to camp, which is contracted for through
Title XX. The other items represent routine office operational expenses.
