We are all aware of the educational benefits of attend- ing such meetings. However due to increasing budgetary restraints, public funds for travel are becoming more and more restrictive. Therefore in the interest of allowing the entire Council to benefit from a Councilman's attendance at such meetings; a systematic report will be required. It is hoped that we will all gain new insights to programs and laws in other communities by having access to such reports. I hope that the City Administration will follow the Council's lead in this area, so that more persons will benefit from having the City represented at such meetings. The taxpayers are entitled to know just how their money is being spent. Hopefully by improv'_ng the communication in this area, the entire City will benefit. Your favorable support is requested.
