Re: Bendix Drive Track Relocation Project
Dear Councilmen:
Attached you will find an ordinance requesting $450,000.00 from the Local
Road and Street Fund to be used for the Bendix Drive Track Relocation
Project. The balance in this fund after this proposed appropriation is
$314,074.68.
The above referenced project entails relocation of the tracks located on
Bendix Drive to the east side of the City's right -of -way. In conjunction
with this track relocation, Bendix Drive will be reconstructed between
Westmoor Street and Lincolnway West. This reconstruction includes widen-
ing the roadway to five (5) lanes, repaving, installation of new inlets,
construction of curbs and installation of traffic signals. As a result
of these improvement, Bendix Drive will be a much safer street to travel
and will be able to accommodate the increased traffic in this area due to
the LaSalle Square Development.
If you should have any questions regarding this proposed ordinance, please
contact me at your earliest convenience.
Very truly yours,
John E. Leszczynski
