AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000.00
FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT,
COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE
SHARING FOR THE STUDEBAKER MUSEUM TO
BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
WHEREAS, funds are needed for set -up costs for the Stude-
baker Museum, and
WHEREAS, monies are available in the General Revenue Sharing
Trust Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $30,000 is hereby appropriated for
the year 1982 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the
General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered
by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set
forth below:

SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and

Dear Members of the Council:
This bill would provide $30,000 in Revenue Sharing Funds
to be used toward the display of the Studebaker Vehicle
collection.

Half of this money will be put into the escrow account es-
tablished to guarantee the rent on the Freeman - Spicer building.
The other half will be used to assist with the costs incurred
moving the Studebaker collection into the new location, and
any other start -up costs as needed.
