RE: SALE OF 1.14 ACRES OF VOORDE PARK
On June 21, 1993, the City Park Board adopted a motion
designating the Board of Public Works as its agent to sell 1.14
acres of Voorde Park to Gibbs Wire and Steel. It is my
understanding that James Riggs of the Economic Development
Department is currently obtaining a survey of the property.
After that, he will obtain a joint appraisal of the value of the
property by two appraisers.
As soon as we receive the survey and the appraisal, I
will prepare a notice setting the proposed sale of this property
for public hearing and public bids. Just thought that you would
want to know.

RE: Voorde Park Subdivision - 3659-93-M
Dear Petitioner:
Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4, the undersigned certifies that the Minor Subdivision of
Voorde Park was considered by the Plat Committee of the Area Plan Commission of St.
Joseph County, Indiana at its meeting on September 2, 1993.
A majority of the Committee concurred in finding that said Subdivision complies with all
requirements of the City of South Bend Subdivision Regulations, and no fact, factor, or
situation in the Subdivision impacts adversely public health or safety. Therefore, the
Committee granted Primary Approval to said Subdivision.
Pursuant to Indiana Code 36--7-4, you have the right to appeal to the Area Plan Commission
the Plat Committee's decision concerning the above noted subdivision. A written appeal
must be filed with the Area Plan Commission by Noon on Monday, September 13, 1993.
If an appeal is filed, the Area Plan Commission will consider the appeal at a Public Hearing
and provide notice according to State Law and established Commission procedures.
When all modifications or conditions (if any) placed upon the Subdivision by the Committee
have been complied with or corrected, and upon expiration of the appeal period or the
submission of a signed Waiver of the Right to Appeal, the Staff shall, upon submittal of an
application, grant Secondary Approval, and record the Subdivision within seven days of
granting Secondary Approval. Building permits may not be granted for lots within this
SSubdivision until the Staff grants Secondary Approval.
