GAMMON Approved and signed by me C Ctc-� / Z Io g -2— Clerk ORDINANCE N0. 7111 -82 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 1983 SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 7080 -82 FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICE TO BE CALLED THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Included in the reorganization of the departments of the City of South Bend is the creation of the Department of Code Enforce- ment. This reorganization will be accomplished without adding any new personnel, but some positions will be given increased responsi- bilities; therfore, it is requested that these positions be given additional monies. The additional funds are available through the Department of Code Enforcement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. That the maximum salaries for the following appointed officers and employees of the Department of Code Enforce- ment after the 1st day of January, 1983, shall be as follows: DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT POSITION 1983 SALARY PROPOSED 1983 SALARY Director $22,745.00 $27,862.00 Assistant Director 18,069.00 21,286.00 Chief Inspector 17,337.00 20,052.00 Administrative Services Director -0- 20,052.00 Housing Specialist -0- 16,833.00 SECTION II. That the position of Director also be funded from Community Deve opment at $1,268.00 in 1983. SECTION III. That the position of Office Manager be deleted from the 1983 Salary Ordinance. SECTION IV. That Neighborhood Code Enforcement be changed to Department o Co e Enforcement in the 1983 Salary Ordinance. SECTION V. Administrative Servic Ordinance. SECTION VI. effect from an a ter by the Mayor.
