Agenda: Michiana Science & Technology Center —Greg Jones
In response to Council questions Community Investment Committee Chair Gavin Ferlic asked Greg Jones,
President of the Michiana Science and Technology Center Inc. to provide a brief update on the nature
and business of MSTC;
To that end in the 15 minute allotted time Greg Jones supplied a brief overview and a detailed handout
(a copy is on file in the Office of the City Clerk) for the Council to review. The overriding message to
Council was that the world and the workplace is changing rapidly. We consequently have to embrace
the transition from a manufacturing to a knowledge based culture or mentality.
The handout materials explain and showcase the work MSTC; is doing to embrace that new paradigm.
Following brief discussion and a missive to look over the handout for possible questions it may generate.
There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson Gavin Ferlic,
adjourned the meeting at 5:22 p.m.
