AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000. 00 FROM THE LOCAL
ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R & S 8205, EDISON
ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET
FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to bring Edison Road up to the standards necessary to
meet existing traffic needs and to provide a safer roadway for the
congested area, certain improvements have been proposed.
Funds are now needed for engineering costs for these improvements.
These funds are available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated
and set apart out of the Local Road and Street Fund for the project in
the amount set forth below:

8205 Edison Road Improvements $ 25,000.00
Total Project $ 25,000.00
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Councilmen:
Attached is an ordinance requesting $25,000.00 from the Local Road
and Street Fund for the design of the Edison Road Improvements Project.
This project entails pavement widening and improvement of Edison Road
from Crestwood to Hickory, including construction of curbs and gutters
and installation of a storm sewer. The balance in the fund after
this proposed appropriation is $212,138.72.
