AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $150,000.00 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO
PROJECT CS 816, BOWMAN CREEK REPAIR PROJECT WITHIN
THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In the best interest of public safety it is necessary to alleviate
flood problems at Bowman from Main Street east to Riley High School.
Funds are now needed for the cost of construction, design and
maintenance for these improvements. These funds are available from the
Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund
for the project in the amount set forth below:

Total Appropriation $ 150,000.00
Section II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of $150,000.00
from the Cumulative Sewer Building and Sinking Fund to be used to pay
for the cost of repairs for the Bowman Creek Project. In order to
alleviate flood problems at Bowman from Main Street east to Riley
High School, it is necessary to appropriate funding to pay for the
cost of certain maintenance projects and design of permanent
solutions to the flooding problems. The balance in the Cumulative
Sewer Building and Sinking Fund is $2,077,117.63.
Your favorable consideration on this ordinance is requested. Should
