ORDINANCE NO. 7059 -82
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000.00 FROM THE
LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R &S 8201,
EXTENSION OF SAMPSON STREET NEAR SOUTHERNVIEW
DRIVE, WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to bring Sampson Street up to the standards necessary to
meet existing traffic needs, and to allow additional access to the sub-
division, certain improvements have been proposed.
Funds are now needed for the cost of construction of these improve-
ments. These funds are available from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section I: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and
ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the project in
the amount set forth below:

The attached ordinance is a request for an appropriation of $25,000.00 from
the Local Road and Street Fund for construction costs related to the Sampson
Street project. This project entails the extension of Sampson Street near
Southernview Drive in order to provide an additional access to the sub-
division. This additional access will provide for smooth and uninterrupted
traffic flow and will better facilitate fire and police protection. The
balance in the Local Road and Street fund after approval of the proposed
ordinance is $948,960.28.
