ORDINANCE NO. *113 4- $ of
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000
FROM THE FIREFIGHTERS PENSION FUND.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Since the City of South Bend has received additional
funds from the State of Indiana for the Firefighter Pension Fund,
it is now necessary to appropriate these additional funds so that
they may be expended in 1982 for the purpose of making pension
payments to retirees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $50,000 is hereby
appropriated for t ez 1982 from the Firefighter's Pension Fund.
This appropriation is to be administered by the Firefighter's Pension
Secretary and will be distributed.as set forth below.

SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council

Dear Members of the Council:
This bill would appropriate $50,000.00 to the Fire Pension Fund that
is available because of additional distribution from the State for
pension relief.
This appropriation means that we will save a corresponding amount in
Revenue Sharing funds that were originally appropriated for this pur-
pose.
